Browser and network issues

Troubleshoot Dubly.AI browser and network issues, from supported browsers to load failures, greyed-out features, and stalled uploads, before opening a ticket.

Most Dubly.AI issues that look like product bugs are actually browser or network problems. Work through this list before opening a ticket.

Supported browsers

Browser

Minimum version

Chrome

110+

Edge

110+

Firefox

115+

Safari

16.4+

Anything older works partially but is unsupported. Use Chrome for best experience.

Common browser issues

App won't load

  • Hard refresh: Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + R

  • Try an incognito / private window

  • Disable privacy extensions that block analytics or session cookies

Features greyed out

  • Missing permissions — make sure third-party cookies are enabled for *.dubly.ai

  • Browser too old — update

Uploads fail or stall

  • Disable download managers or browser extensions that interfere with XHR uploads

  • Pause competing downloads

  • Try a different browser

Editor is slow or freezes

  • Close other tabs (video editing is memory-heavy)

  • Reduce browser zoom to 100%

Network and connectivity

Required connectivity

  • Minimum upload speed: 10 Mbps for source uploads

  • Minimum download speed: 25 Mbps for preview playback of 4K exports

Corporate firewall checklist

Allowlist:

  • app.dubly.ai

  • upload.dubly.ai

  • cdn.dubly.ai

  • api.dubly.ai

  • websocket.dubly.ai (or WebSocket over port 443)

Ask your IT team to whitelist these before rolling out to the team.

VPN issues

  • Some corporate VPNs break WebSocket connections → editor won't update live

  • Try disconnecting the VPN and using the corporate allowlist instead

DNS

  • If app.dubly.ai doesn't resolve, try 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 DNS temporarily

  • Clear DNS cache: ipconfig /flushdns (Windows) or sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder (macOS)

Mobile browsers

  • Review, share, and playback work on mobile.

  • Editing is supported but the experience is best on desktop.

  • Some uploads limited by iOS/Android memory — use desktop for files > 500 MB.
